“WOUND SCANNER”-A SYSTEM FOR VISUALIZING AND MONITORING WOUNDS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO HEAL.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The solution planned for implementation is aimed at developing a methodology including acquisition, processing, analysis and visualization of hybrid (multi -modal) imaging data in the diagnosis of chronic wounds of the skin, which will facilitate or even enable the assessment of wound depth and visualization of areas under the surface of the skin based on its three -dimensional model.

PLANNED RESULTS

PERFORMING A REALISTIC SCAN OF A PHANTOM WOUND, WHICH WILL RESULT IN DESCRIPTIVE PARAMETERS OF THE WOUND, SUCH AS. WOUND AREA, WOUND CIRCUMFERENCE LENGTH, AND IMAGING DATA IN THE FORM OF FUSION IMAGES OF THERMOGRAPHIC AND PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES AND VISUALIZATION OF 3D MODELS OF THE WOUND.
